Woven Kin : Aisling Urwin and Siobhán Moore
Music // Hibernate
Dreamscapes and journeys, tradition and new ground; Woven Kin's new album, Hibernate, was released on Friday, January 8th, 2021. The first track of the album, ‘Hibernate’, invites you into a dark, dreamlike space where each song is like a new realm, rising and falling, until the final track of the album, ‘Morning Song’, draws the listener back to wakefulness.
Featuring harp, bodhrán, low whistle, bouzouki, banjo and interwoven harmonies, it's an alt-folk album with roots in the traditional and branches in the experimental. The project is a collaboration between South Kerry Harper, Aisling Urwin and New Hampshire artist and producer, Siobhán Moore. It features artists such as Liam Ó Maonlaí (Hothouse Flowers) and Leah Song (Rising Appalachia).
