> print & publication: As a new independent publisher we are seeking out strong new voices representing the very best in literary fiction. We publish adult literary fiction (novels and short story collections) and do not currently consider other genres such as children's fiction, poetry, memoir or fantasy.

Before submitting your work to us we would suggest you familiarise yourself with our list of published work. In your submission email we would love to hear which of our authors you have read and how you heard about us. You can also get a feel for what we are about by checking out our é-zine editions.

We are only accepting electronic submissions so please email to submissions@epoquepress.com and in the subject header state 'General Submissions', the title of your work  and your name. The full manuscript of your work should be attached in either MS Word or PDF format. The reason we ask for the full manuscript is because if we like what we receive we will want to keep on reading. We also ask that you provide a short synopsis that tells us a little bit about the submitted work. This can be a separate attachment or within the body of the email.

And that's it. We don't want to lay down too many rules as rest assured your submission will only be considered on its literary merit.

Due to the volume of submissions we receive we hope you will understand that we cannot enter into correspondence or offer feedback on them all. We are a small team, we look to publish three to four titles a year and as such we will undoubtedly have to pass on some great work. If we do have questions about your submission we will be back in contact with you within six months.

> é-zine: Submissions are now open for our next é-zine theme 'Belonging'. What does Belonging mean to you? It could be said that having a sense of belonging is one of our most basic needs, a need for us to feel an affiliation for a particular group, where we can feel secure, included, embraced and welcomed. It is about having an affinity for a place, a situation or a set of common beliefs. It is something that binds us to other people and places, fosters loyalty and shapes our own individual identities. But does this sense of belonging originate through self selected mythologising, selective historical remembrance or blind adherence to what we are told we should believe? What consequences are there for those who do not belong, for the outsider, or for those who are desperate to belong and be accepted at all costs? As always the theme is open to interpretation. Submissions will close on 30th June 2024.
