Of the film featured here, Sarah says:
‘On Durham Heritage Coast is a poetryfilm exploring this coastline. The main narrator is an outsider, discovering these beautiful scenic surroundings as a tourist. But there is darkness, as well as light. Conversation with a local inhabitant gives a different perspective, as does research. This area’s narrative now is not the same as it was in the past. The two intermingle and change each other. To belong here, or anywhere, means coming to terms with the region’s history. This poetryfilm also touches on the sense of not belonging anywhere which may come with depression.’
