Greenness is the project of French singer-songwriter Cécile Frangi and English musician/producer Graham Pratt. The duo's first two EPs were supported by an impressive string of shows in notable venues such as the Brighton Centre and the Royal Albert Hall, garnering attention from The Morning Star, who called their live performance "a revelation". Their first official single and music video Dance With The Light was voted Best Song at the Brighton Song Contest 2019, where it was praised for its immersive visuals, songcraft and lyrics exploring nature worship and lucid dreaming. Following a successful Crowdfunding campaign, Greenness spent the lockdown months recording and producing their debut album Sunrooms at home and self-released it in 2022, with the singles receiving airplay on BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq), Radio X (John Kennedy), BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio. After a productive summer including a Brighton Dome residency and four sets at Glastonbury, Greenness released their sophomore album Honeymoons on 14 November 2025 via their own independent label, One Fern Records.

Of the song featured here, Greenness say:

‘The motivation behind Dance With the Light was an exploration of lucid dreaming, which is reflected in the lyrics. Visually the music video draws from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The song forms part of the Cyclicity EP, which contains four tracks, each one themed around natural cycles and elements. Dance With the Light is the element of Fire, the final track on the EP and the main single.’
