Carol McGill
Poetry
Carol McGill lives in Dublin. She has had work appear in Capsule Stories, Sonder, Crannóg, Q/A Poetry, and Silver Apples Magazine, among others. In 2020 she founded the Morning Coffee Writing Competition with Sonder Magazine. She was the 2019-2020 chairperson of Trinity Literary Society. She tweets at @WordsByCarolx
Of the Poem featured here Carol states:
‘This poem is about the ecstasy of new beginnings, but also about the joy that can come from giving yourself permission to live life by your own rules, and the value of having a loved one inspire that kind of freedom.’
