Sandy Swain is a writer from Kent, filling the niche intersection between mental health, bisexuality, and musical theatre. Find her at her Twitter @sandyswainwrite or Instagram @sandyswainwrites.

Of her poem, Sandy says:

‘I wrote Saddest Lesbian Novel to convey the experience of female bisexuality - how women can be stuck between the male gaze and their guilt for not being queer enough, and how that makes them question themselves. Instead of the usual representation of bisexuality as confident and assertive desire, this shows the realities of attraction. The surreal atmosphere in the poem blends desire, voyeurism, and fetishisation to represent bisexuality's meanings in society.’
