Countryfiles is a black comedy, surrealist piece responding to our Instagram culture of trying to perfect reality. It's in effect 'departing' or opting out from actual reality and modern life with all its blemishes and flaws. Nate and Tamala go the countryside to 're-connect'. They love vintage and living in the past. But then the dog dies. A tree moves outside. And a strange man visits them as thunder strikes. They slip into a nightmare.
