H M Truscott is a poet and writer living in the flat expanse of East Anglia. Other recent work can be read in Magma Poetry and 14 Magazine. Of the motivation behind the poem featured here, Harriet says:
‘The pressure of lockdown, the fear of solitary confinement within four white walls... and a joyous throwing myself into the potential madness of the page. This i can run amok on the page and fall apart, even as I need to keep myself in check and write another useful COVID policy document.’
